This is after the man found her after her town was attacked That man is actually Vincent he helped her lean how to fight and told her how he found her (do they have a love interest? Maybe >.> maybe not)

So the white on the other side of her face is a bandage over the cut she had gotten that became the scar on her face

and because she almost died she hardly could remember what happed but it all came back to her after a few days
